Why have you chosen your sport and how long you have been doing it?

Before I started triathlon, I was already involved in competition swimming. I noticed I liked the longer distances in swimming. At that moment, I was also running by myself for one/two time(s) a week, because I did really like it to be outside. Some friends asked me if I wanted to try a triathlon training day, and from that moment it escalated quite quickly haha

What motivates you to compete? What is your why?

Pfoe, that’s a difficult one. In general I do like sports a lot. But I think what motivates me mostly, is to choose one or two ‘A-races’ every season, and working towards that races to be in best shape as possible. I really love the training process, to gradually increase the intensity and volume of training, and then trying to be at my really best during the race.

Nutrition is especially in long distance triathlon a super important part. I noticed my gut and stomach were reacting really good at the INFINIT products, which I was really pleased about. On top of that, I can get in all my nutrition in a race in drinks, so I don’t have to use gels anymore. But in my opinion, the best part about INFINIT is I can develop my own nutrition formula!

Any recommendations or sport hacks that you would like to pass to the athletes in your sport?

Enjoy triathlon or sports in general. If you do not, it’s way to hard to keep motivated!

Which INFINIT product you like the most and why?

I really like my own formula nutrition. But I can recommend definitely the Hydrate Essential Hydration. It’s perfect up to workouts till approximately 90 minutes. I use it during all my training sessions. It keeps my energized and keeps me going.

Your motto or the best motivation line for the start of the week that gets you going?

Consistency is key. Get in your training sessions day by day, don’t overdo it, and try to be at your best at race day. and

Welcome to the Team INFINIT, Laura!

Name: Laura Zimmermann

Age: 32

From: Germany

Major wins: Ironman Hamburg 2021

Favorite INFINIT product:    NOCTURNE Nighttime Recharge

Hours of training per week: 24h

Next big goal: Ironman Austria

Why have you chosen your sport and how long you have been doing it?

I’ve always been pretty sporty, and nearly love all kind of sports. In 2011, I stumbled upon triathlon when I started studying in Würzburg. It kind of felt like love at first sight. I’m enjoying the variety of the three different disciplines and being outdoors in nature just makes me happy.

What motivates you to compete? What is your why?

During the Covid pandemic, I’ve realized that it’s the competitions that really motivate me during my training sessions. While I do enjoy my workouts most of the time, I ultimately train because the races are the cherry on top for me. There is no better feeling than the finish line feeling.

I like the variety of the products, the taste, and the fact that Infinit doesn’t use any artificial colors, sweeteners, or preservatives. Grateful for the support of the team and their expertise and commitment to help me grow as an athlete.

Any recommendations or sport hacks that you would like to pass to the athletes in your sport?

Never underestimate the importance of the right fueling in sports. It’s not just about the everyday diet, but also about how to fuel before, during and after training sessions. And don’t forget – we’re doing the sport because we’re loving it.

Which INFINIT product you like the most and why?

Nocturne nighttime recharge. The taste is just awesome – the perfect bedtime snack, as it helps me to sleep better due to the Tryptophan.

Your motto or the best motivation line for the start of the week that gets you going?

,,Love it, change it, or leave it.”

From the Ground Up Project

Two riders riding on a clear day, text "From the Ground Up Project"

While 2020 brought about a pause on the races and events, INFINIT Pros Ryan Petry and Alexey Vermeulen also witnessed the pandemic-driven uptick in people starting to ride. Being lifelong lovers of cycling, they sought out a way to help really immerse these new riders into the sport. This is where the From the Ground Up Project was born. Out of thousands of submissions that came in from across the country, Ryan & Alexey had the difficult task of narrowing it down to just 3 riders to take under their wing and equip with everything needed to start training.
