How should I carry my INFINIT

How should I carry my INFINIT?

Q How should I carry my INFINIT?

A How you carry your nutrition really comes down to personal preference!

The easiest and most foolproof way to fuel is to do “one hour bottles,” but we understand that some might find that cumbersome. So for easier carrying, you can opt to concentrate your bottles instead.

Here are the two methods broken down:

Normal: the easiest and most foolproof way to keep a handle on your intake is to mix one serving in a bottle and drink one bottle each hour.

You will need to either carry (or stage) multiple bottles or carry additional powder to remix bottles after each hour. Make sure that if your bottle is not 600ml that you take in additional plain water from a different bottle or water fountain.

Concentrate: You can concentrate your bottle(s) and put multiple hours of nutrition in a bottle. Just make sure that you still are only drinking one serving per hour.

Example: You mix 4 servings (8 scoops) in one 700ml bottle. Divide your bottle in fourths and make sure to only drink 1/4 of the bottle each hour.

This method will provide you 175ml of fluid from each serving of INFINIT so make sure to drink 400 - 500ml of additional plain water from another source per hour (hydration backpack, aid stations, water fountain, etc.). It’s recommended that you consume both your concentrate and quickly follow that with water to ensure the end solution in your gut remains isotonic.

1 hour bottle = 2 scoops

2 hour bottle = 4 scoops. Divide your water bottle in half. Drink half of your bottle each hour with additional water.

3 hour bottle = 6 scoops. Divide your water bottle in thirds. Drink a third of your bottle each hour with additional water.

Here is a video that can also help with concentration. Make sure that you practice whichever method you would like to use during racing, to make sure you are able to keep up with the correct consumption rate on the big day.
